Who owns the Welfare Society
The society is owned totally by its members. If you are an approved member you have a share in the society.

Who is eligible to join the Welfare Society?
Anyone who has a close association with the Fire Service.
(And is approved as a member by the board)

How much does it cost to be a member of the Welfare Society?
Only $3.00 per week.
This covers the member, their spouse or partner and any dependants.

How do I pay?
Either annually,monthly or fortnightly in advance by direct debit, cheque or through the Fire Service Pay roll.

How much is the Funeral benefit?
$3000 for the member or spouse. $1000 for each dependent child.

What happens when I retire, can I remain as a member of the Society?
YES.
(When you reach the age of 60 you only pay half the subscriptions and the funeral benefit ceases)

How much will Healthcare 99 Cost?

What do I need to take with me when I use one of the Holiday Homes?
Food , Linen, and Toiletries

Who do I send My Healthcare 99 claims to.?

Who owns HealthCare 99?
HealthCare 99 members own HealthCare 99. It is run as a mutual trust fund..

What happens if I decide to leave the Fire Service?
Once you become a member you can retain your membership as long as you wish.

By paying just $3-00 per week will my family enjoy the benefits as outlined?
YES.

Do I have to be a member of the Welfare Society to join other related schemes?
YES.

What happens when my children get older?
When your children reach the age of 19 they can apply to become members themselves and get the benefits of a full member.

Will my HealthCare 99 contribution increase as I age?
YES.

If I die will my family be looked after?

Yes, your family will have FREE membership of the Welfare Society for 12 months from the date of the last payment received from you.
(They may then join the Society in their own right)
