NZFFWS COVID Protocols - December 2021
To ensure that we are working in alignment with the Government, these protocols have been developed using the "Unite Covid-19" website guidance.
We recognise that the wellbeing of our members is paramount, however the wellbeing of the nation must be considered in all our interactions with our members, staff, and volunteer personnel.
Our organisation structure is unique. We have taken the most conservative approach to ensure the safety of all of our members, employees, and contractors.
It must be recognised and acknowledged that these protocols have been developed in an emerging emergency situation and are subject to change with short notice, as and when government advice or public social situations dictate.
ALERT LEVEL BOUNDARIES - It is recognised that our Regions will not always align with Alert level boundaries. Our members and our representatives will not cross COVID boundaries regardless of whether they are "within region". There may be extraordinary circumstances such as a national emergency, where this will be allowed, however this will only happen with written permission from MBIE.
COMMUNICATION - FOR THE PURPOSES OF MANAGING OUR MEMBERS WELLBEING WE ASK THAT WHERE PRACTICAL ALL CORRESPONDENCE IS CONDUCTED VIA EMAIL. Reducing phone-based correspondence allows our staff to concentrate on supporting our members.
ALL COMMUNICATION TO OUR MEMBERS WILL BE CONDUCTED THROUGH OUR WEBSITE AND SOCIAL MEDIA CHANNELS.
