The Wolf Was Not Sleeping, by Avril McDonald

The New Zealand Firefighters Welfare Society is extremely proud to be sharing with you a short video, our gift to you on International Firefighters Day.  The production includes a special thank you, to you and your families, as well as the author Avril McDonald reading the story for you to share with your children, containing  beautiful visuals and sounds from the book.  We hope that you get as much enjoyment out of the book as we have had in bringing it to life.

You can download the guide here on "how to use the book" as a resource. It is recommended that you read this guide before you read the book with your family/wider whanau.
The Wolf Was Not Sleeping is a special gift to all Fire and Emergency Personnel.
In the coming months, we will provide two copies of the book to every brigade, office and training centre across the organisation, so that everyone can see and enjoy the resource.  Given the COVID-19 situation, this distribution will commence as soon as practical when Fire and Emergency returns to a business as usual state.  All personnel will then have the opportunity to order their own personal copy and details on the ordering process will be supplied at that time.
